First Step Designs Returned to Grand Designs Live for the third consecutive year in Birmingham this October. The team returned after a very busy 5 days from the NEC with tired legs high spirits following meeting lots of new and old customers during the show.
Many thanks to everyone who visited our stand over the 5 days. it was great to see so many people there with new projects. We hope you found the information and example staircases inspiring for your project and we look forward to hearing from you soon to get the designs and qutoations started.
We displayed some of our most popular styles including a central spine staircase with a frameless glass balustrade and also a steel framed balustrade. Finished with a bold matte black powder coat, and the European white oak was finished in our popular limed effect.
We shared our new custom metal tread-tray design, which allows the user to install their own style of tread. This could be stone, tile, concrete or a composite that is being used elsewhere in the house!
Our ever popular open plan ‘Brace’ and ‘Trim’ staircases returned after being a popular member from the previous years shows. Finished with Natural White oak and glass features throughout.
Two members of our design team Adam & Nathaniel even had Kevin McLeod visit the stand to talk staircases and get a quick photo. It was great to share our ideas with the man behind Grand Designs and a pleasure to meet such a gentleman!
